What is Cosmetic Tattooing

Cosmetic Tattooing is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure. It involves tattooing specialized pigment to penetrate the upper layers of the skin. This procedure is to enhance the eyebrows and more.

What is the benefit of Cosmetic Tattooing?

You have a semi-permanent eyebrow with good shape which will brighten your face as if you are with makeup. It gives a new look to your face. No maintenance required and it is cost effective.

How long does it stay on eyebrows?

Generally speaking, Cosmetic Tattooing is semi-permanent, and it will last up to 1 – 3 years. It will slightly fade after the first procedure as the pigment may migrate under the skin. However, a touch up is needed after 6-8 weeks. Cosmetic Tattooing requires ongoing touch up to maintain the results.

Does it hurts?

A topical anesthetic cream or a gel is applied before the procedure. It may feel like a tweezing pain or small amounts of discomfort is to be expected. Some may not feel at all. It depends on each individual. I will make sure that you will be comfortable during entire procedure. But the result will
be awesome!

What do I need to know before the procedure?

The skin will be slightly red and sensitive. So, I advise to avoid going out on that day. Please avoid procedures during menstrual cycle because you may feel sensitive or discomfort.

FAQ's

Yes. I always perform a consultation prior to every single treatment. Most of the time we can proceed with the treatment as planned, however in some cases, if your skin is not in the right condition to recieve the booked service, you will be recommended appropriate home-care products to use as well as one to two alternative treatments to get your skin in good enough condition that you will achieve maximum results from the desired peel. This is not the case for everyone, however if you are a skincare novice with a very basic routine, it is unrealistic to expect that you can go straight into a highly advanced skin treatment without prepping your skin first. Skin Needling is not like having a facial and should not be taken lightly.
When you book your treatment, I will reach out to you with any specific information you need to be aware of and on the day of your treatment you will be provided with a copy of the post treatment advice.
Pain is very subjective due to everyone having a different tolerance level, so I will never say outright that any treatment isn't painful, however overall our clients tell us the treatment is not that painful and can get through without any numbing. Usually the eye & forehead areas are the 'spiciest' and if you are nervous, you are welcome to come armed with some topical numbing that I can apply. *I do not supply numbing due to legal restraints and to meet my insurance obligations. I am aware that many salons ignore this restriction, however I choose to do the right thing for your safety and mine. It is my experience that you are more likely to experience a negative reaction if numbing is used, and so I do encourage you to proceed without, if possible.
You will likely be quite pink/red immediately after the treatment, and your skin will feel warm - just like a sunburn. The redness is usually gone within 24-48 hours.
How long is a piece of string..? It is impossible to say how many treatments you will need, as everyone's goals are different and so is their skin. Generally speaking, 6 treatments are required at 4 week intervals
Results greatly depend on your skins condition, your homecare and how you maintain your skin with ongoing treatments afterwards. Results can never be guaranteed.
We always check all contraindications to see if there is any reason you would have an undesired result. Immediately after the procedure, the treated area will be quite red and occasionally swollen. This can last from 1-2 days.
